The CB6318 GDTA cable is a hybrid cable that brings together electrical conductors and optical fibers into a single efficient network installation solution. The optical fibers are contained in waterproof loose tubes with high modulus, filled with water-blocking gel to protect the fibers. It has a metal central strength member as structural reinforcement. The insulated copper conductors and the loose tube are twisted helically around it to form a tight circular core. Water-blocking material fills the interstices, and coated aluminum tape longitudinally wrapped with polyethylene outer sheath provides protection and durability in access network deployment.
