Central Tube Type 53 Sheath Rat-proof Optical Cable is engineered for robust outdoor performance, combining moisture resistance, durability, and protection against rodent damage. Colored optical fibers are housed in a loose tube made of high-modulus, water-resistant material, filled with moisture-blocking gel to ensure superior fiber protection.
The loose tube is coated externally with waterproofing material, providing effective longitudinal water resistance. A steel wire layer wraps around the core, reinforcing the cable’s mechanical strength. This is followed by an extruded polyethylene inner sheath for added protection. To further enhance durability and rodent resistance, both sides of the inner sheath are longitudinally wrapped with chrome-plated, plastic-coated steel tape. Finally, the cable is encased in a polyethylene outer sheath for complete environmental protection.
This cable is ideal for outdoor environments requiring excellent moisture resistance, mechanical strength, and protection against rodent activity. It is suitable for direct burial, duct installations, and other demanding applications.

Wrapped steel wire layer provides excellent tensile strength.
Loose tube material is highly resistant to hydrolysis and pressure.
Special grease inside the loose tube offers critical safeguarding for optical fibers.
Steel tape enhances the cable's ability to resist moisture penetration.
Small size and lightweight construction make the cable easy to handle, transport, and install, even for long-distance deployments.
The steel wire wrapping ensures added mechanical strength.
The GYXTY53 optical cable is an excellent choice for outdoor installations in rodent-prone areas, high-moisture regions, and locations requiring robust mechanical and environmental protection. It is particularly suited for direct burial, duct installations, and long-distance communication networks.
1. Direct Burial Installations
The chrome-plated plastic-coated steel tape and robust polyethylene sheath provide excellent protection against mechanical pressure and rodent damage, making it ideal for direct underground installations.
2. Duct Installations
Lightweight and compact, this cable is suitable for duct installations, offering ease of deployment and high performance in confined spaces.
3. Rodent-Prone Areas
Specifically designed with rat-proof features, including steel wire reinforcement and coated steel tape, making it highly effective in areas with high rodent activity.
4. High-Moisture or Water-Rich Environments
Equipped with moisture-blocking gel and waterproof layers, the cable ensures reliable performance in wet areas, such as near rivers, wetlands, or regions with high groundwater levels.
5. Long-Distance Communication Networks
Ideal for backbone and access networks where stable transmission and high mechanical strength are required over long distances.
6. Urban and Suburban Infrastructure
Suitable for urban and suburban communication networks, offering durability and protection in areas with potential construction or mechanical stress.
7. Industrial Zones
Performs well in industrial environments, providing resistance to environmental stresses and potential damage from heavy equipment or rodents.
8. Outdoor Communication Networks in Harsh Conditions
Designed to withstand environmental challenges, including temperature fluctuations, UV exposure, and physical stresses.
