Description

GYHTY optical cable is designed for high-performance, demanding communications environments. The cable combines excellent moisture resistance, mechanical strength, and superior durability. It consists of colored optical fibers coated with a high-modulus loose tube filled with thixotropic water-blocking gel for maximum moisture protection.

The central strength member of the cable is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), providing structural stability and mechanical strength without the inclusion of metallic components. Loose tube and optional fill ropes are stranded around the core in a helical pattern for tensile strength and flexibility. Water-blocking gel fills any internal cavities to assure sound protection against water intrusion. The cable is finished with a polyethylene inner sheath, aramid yarn reinforced for additional tensile strength, and covered by an abrasion-resistant polyethylene outer sheath, possessing UV, abrasion, and environmental stress resistance.
