GYFTA optical cable is constructed to ensure high-performance communications under diverse, stringent conditions. It contains high-modulus loose tubes with colored optical fibers exhibiting good mechanical strength, hydrolysis resistance, and long-term dependability. Thixotropic gel is utilized to fill the tube with good water-blocking property to shield the fibers.
In essence, a glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) strength member offers greater sturdiness and structural integrity. The filler ropes, together with loose tubes, are helically stranded about the central FRP core in a compact, circular form. The core's interstices are also filled with some thixotropic gel in order to create a double-layer water-blocking system. An additional degree of shielding is provided by longitudinally placing an aluminum tape about the cable core. A hard polyethylene sheath protects the whole assembly and increases its environmental resistance.
Cross-section Diagram
High-Humidity Environments: Ideal for coastlines, rainforests, and high-rainfall areas, it provides best-of-class waterproofing and dependability through its water-blocking gel and hydrolysis-resistant materials.
High Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Areas: Non-metallic FRP core makes it very appropriate for areas with high electromagnetic interference, e.g., near electrical generating plants or high tension transmission lines.
Aerial Cables Installation: The improved tensile strength and weather-resistant outer sheath render it suitable for deployment from an aerial platform and can endure outdoor weather pressure and tension.
Duct Cable Installations: Lightweight and compact in design, it installs easily in ducts for effective moisture protection and robust performance in buried applications.
Rough weather conditions: Able to operate successfully in cold- and hot-temperature environments and changing environments.
Long-distance Communication: With low attenuation and high-quality optical transmission capability, it is suitable for use in intercity, rural, or distant area backbone networks needing good long-distance communications.
High-Seismic Zones: Non-metallic construction provides greater resistance to churning, hence less probability of cracking in seismically active areas.
Smart cities and street network infrastructure: Perfect for intelligent cities such as traffic monitoring networks, intelligent streetlights, and municipal wireless Wi-Fi networks with tried and tested reliability for cities.
