Potassium Titanyle Arsenate (KTiOAsO4), or KTA crystal, is an excellent nonlinear optical crystal for Optical Parametric Oscillation (OPO) Application. OPO devices based on KTAs are reliable, solid state sources of tunable laser radiation exhibiting energy conversion efficiencies above 50%. In addition KTA has a very high damage threshold and lower absorption in the 3-4 µm spectrum range than KTP.
Potassium Titanyle Arsenate (KTiOAsO4), commonly known as KTA, is a nonlinear optical crystal renowned for its excellent electro-optic properties and wide transparency range extending from the visible to the mid-infrared region (0.5 to 5.3 micrometers). KTA crystals are characterized by a high damage threshold, low dielectric constant, and good thermal stability, making them ideal for frequency conversion applications such as optical parametric oscillation, second harmonic generation, and sum-frequency generation. Additionally, KTA's high nonlinearity and low absorption losses contribute to its efficiency in laser systems and other advanced photonic applications.

1. Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPOs): KTA is commonly used in OPOs for frequency conversion to generate tunable laser light from the visible to the mid-infrared range.
2. Second Harmonic Generation (SHG): It is utilized for doubling the frequency of laser light, particularly in applications requiring high power and efficiency.
3. Sum-Frequency Generation (SFG): KTA is employed in SFG processes to combine two different frequencies of light to produce a third frequency, expanding the range of wavelengths available from laser sources.
4. Difference Frequency Generation (DFG): KTA is used to generate new wavelengths by mixing two frequencies and subtracting one from the other, useful in spectroscopy and other precision measurement techniques.
5. Electro-Optic Modulators: Due to its excellent electro-optic properties, KTA is used in devices that modulate the phase, frequency, or amplitude of light in advanced communication systems.
6. Laser Systems: KTA crystals are integrated into various laser systems to enhance performance and efficiency, particularly in medical, military, and industrial applications.
Our Potassium Titanyle Arsenate is carefully handled to prevent damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our product in its original condition.
