Borosilicate Window Description
Borosilicate Window is ideal for high temperature and harsh environment applications. Borosilicate glass products can maintain flatness under different environmental conditions due to their excellent shock resistance and heat resistance. Borosilicate windows are manufactured using a floating technology that produces superior surface accuracy of 4-6λ per inch. The windows are three times more resistant to thermal shock than standard calcium carbonate glass.

Borosilicate Window Application
Borosilicate Window is used as exit windows for high-power CO2 lasers. It has higher thermal conductivity and lower absorption capabilities than other infrared materials, thus minimizing the impact on beam quality. Other common applications include diamond-based nuclear detectors, general microwave engineering, and use as microwave windows in multispectral optical systems.
