Description
Loose Tube Layer Stranded Non-metallic Reinforced Core Non-armored Optical Cable is a high-performance, lightweight solution designed for outdoor applications requiring non-metallic construction, moisture resistance, and reliable mechanical performance. Colored optical fibers are housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus material, which are filled with thixotropic water-blocking gel to protect the fibers from moisture and external stress.
The cable features a central glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) core, providing excellent tensile strength and structural stability without the use of metal components. Loose tubes and filling ropes are helically stranded around the FRP core to form a compact, circular cable core. The gaps within the cable core are filled with water-blocking gel to ensure robust moisture resistance. A durable polyethylene outer sheath is extruded over the cable core for environmental protection.
